one of my favorite games, i will never forget it

This will always hold a special place in my heart. Playing red dead online is where I met my original Xbox 360 friend and still to this day we talk and even hung out multiple times irl now that we’re grown ups

We got one quest chain, 2 events - one of which that has recently been disabled and another that requires a nuke to trigger, a terrible 'scoreboard' with ass rewards, and a new map section that barely involves the new quest chain. This and a few new weapons with only a Tesla rifle and LMG being an improvement over any previous weapons. I've played close to 3.4k hours, and I'll still keep playing, but I am thoroughly disappointed with the new content.

Started in the Beta on PS4, stopped when First came out. Came back a while ago, it keeps me entertained

Game was always good, just wasn’t finished when it launched. All too common these days, it’s easy for folks to look way past what’s there at the core when there are myriad technical issues obscuring their view of it.

Lmao lies being told, the game is a laggy/buggy mess not to mention last minute changes on guns, a two week early battle pass to one of the worst season

On one hand, I understand that not allowing you to play as an honorable samurai and get a different ending can be disappointing to some. However, I think not having that option is in service of the story. The point is that Jin HAS to embrace the Ghost to some extent or he'd have been unable to win. There are enough story segments that force you down that path that the Shogun would brand you a traitor anyway, regardless of how hard you otherwise try to be honorable. It feels unfair, and that works in the story's favour. Because it is. It sucks. Jin gets shafted. The ONLY change I would make is changing the level at which Jin is willing to poison the mongols at the end of Act 2. If you've been trying to be honorable, Jin suggests it without hesitation, and that might clash with the player's intent. Maybe if there were a karma system I'd change that cutscene to make Jin more reluctant but ultimately forced to do it, if you'd been playing largely without Ghost tactics.

Before getting too critical of the graphics, you have to remember this was supposed to be an online mode for FO4. The biggest technical dept this game suffers from is that the world map was poorly made for an online game. Fixing it means rebuilding the entire world, which isn't realistic. What they have been doing is optimizing each location as they get updated and change over time.

As some one who still plays the game. It’s an absolute shit pile. If you really really like fallout. You can enjoy it sometimes but it’s genuinely a bad game being carried by an S tier world setting.

I play on PC through Gamepass probably 100 hours in and haven't had 1 crash

Fallout 76 was always good, well at least for me, even when it was release day buggy mess (like good Bethesda game should be). I have at the moment more than 4800 hours in it and I had fun for every minute of it. Even when it was without NPCs except robots it had its desolate, Responders failed desperate post apocalyptic charm. Can it be better? Yes, it can be much better, like everything else in the world but I got my peace of fun with it and I still I'm getting it. I don't know, the initial hate and occasional spitting on it whenever update comes because it is "not perfect" was not warranted, it actually kept me from buying it for 4 months after release because I thought it was that bad. Ultimately I cashed in and saw it was everything I even didn't know I want from online Fallout, never looked back and now I watch all those "critique" channels with great dose of skepticism. Fallout 76 is not perfect but it was good game even on release and now it is even better. Best metrics to a game is how many players are playing it and F76 managed to attract so many dedicated players.

Hard to believe these people are the same people that made inFamous.

It's interesting seeing so many people completely miss the point of the story. People seem to want a nice happy story where Jin Sakai keeps his honor, becomes the hero that singlehandedly drives away the Mongols without mass casualties or sacrificing his code. I don't think that works as a story. For one, each of the events where Jin goes back on his code, it is out of necessity. There are many spots in the game where getting spotted will lead to an innocent person dying. Jin's priorities are to his family and to his people. When times came where he had to decide whether to be "the good samurai" or to protect those that he cared about, he chose the latter. So choosing to play "the good samurai" all throughout would actually lead to an even worse ending for the character. At best, Jin and the other samurai would drive the mongols off of Tsushima, but with many casualties among the innocent, and probably most of the samurai dead as well. At worst (and far more likely), the samurai would have been wiped. It also ignores the real reason why Jin ends up having to kill or spare his uncle. In the story, Jin ends up having to poison some mongols, which ends up reprehensible to Shimura, but he was willing to advocate for Jin's honor by having Jin blame Yuna. If Jin wanted to be "The Good Samurai" he would have thrown Yuna under the bus. He chose not to because it was not the right thing to do. The shogunate saw this as him disobeying command. Furthermore, he was building a reputation locally. People saw him as doing far more than the Shogunate were. So in the end they saw him as a threat to their order. There's basically no route through this story where Jin ends up some local hero and doesn't become the enemy of the Shogun. While the poison event was the turning point for Shimura to turn against Jin, it would have likely happened regardless at some point anyway. Shimura might have been willing to fight for Jin's sake, but chances are he would have still chosen to side with the Shogunate since disobeying would mean being stripped of his title and status and branded a traitor. Interestingly enough, the real samurai during this period would have been just as if not moreso ruthless than anything Jin did. In fact some of their tactics would have more closely mirrored the Mongols shown in the game.
